SMF Extrusion is proud to announce the acquisition of a new strategic order from Constellium Extrusions Děčín for the engineering and supply of a 600-ton off-line stretcher with integrated detwist capability for aluminium profiles.
Building on the experience gained with the world’s first patented fully electromechanical stretcher, the new machine has been specifically engineered to process aluminium profiles belonging to alloy groups 2xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx, delivering a stretching force of 600 tons.
Equipped with a rotating head capable of detwisting profiles within a range of -45° to +45°, the system will ensure effective correction of torsional deformation.
Prior to shipment, the machine will undergo full internal functional testing at 600-ton load using solid bars at SMF Group’s workshops in Fagagna, Italy. Thanks to the complete pre-assembly performed in-house, installation and start-up activities on site will be significantly reduced, ensuring faster commissioning and minimized downtime.
This project further confirms SMF Extrusion’s technological expertise in advanced aluminium extrusion solutions. SMF Group sincerely thanks Constellium for the trust placed in its engineering capabilities.
